Sea tug electrical switchgears

The project included manufacturing a set of power distribution switchboards in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Maritime Shipping Register. System type – 3-phase 4 wire insulated neutral.

Main Low Voltage Distribution Board (LVDB)

The switchboard was designed in strict accordance with the customer specification, as well as taking into account limited space.


LVDB consists of six sections – two generator incomer sections with coupling, one shore incomer section, syncronization system of shore and generator sets, power distribution sections with motor starters.

LVDB provides:

  • receiving power from two main 51kW 400V diesel generators
  • receiving power from an auxiliary 22kW 400V diesel generator
  • receiving shore power 60A 380V
    power distribution, outgoing lines protection
  • metering and control functions (in the scope of requirements of RMSR for automation class A3 vessels), indication and signalization

Emergency distribution switchboard

The switchboard was designed in strict accordance with the customer specification, which included accordance with requierments of the Russian Maritime Shipping Register, as well as taking into account limited space Wall mounted switchboard, front access.

Emergency distribution switchboard

  • receiving power supply from ~220V/=24V rectifier by 2-wire lines
  • 24V DC power distribution
  • receiving shore power 60A 380V
  • power distribution, outgoing lines protection
  • emergency power supply from battery storage
  • power supply metering, monitoring, control

Charge-discharge board

The switchboard was designed in strict accordance with the customer specification, which included accordance with requierments of the Russian Maritime Shipping Register, as well as taking into account limited space

Charge-discharge board provides

  • receiving power supply from ~220V/=24V rectifier by 2-wire lines
  • separate connection to charge busbars for each of six battery storage groups
  • receiving shore power 60A 380V
  • switching of each battery storage group to the charge or discharge section
  • discharge section 24V DC power distribution
  • power supply metering, monitoring, control
  • outgoing and battery lines protection
