ELECTRICAL LABORATORY AND ENERGY AUDIT

SCOPE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE LABORATORY

Several components are required for the successful functioning of an object. If we group them according to the parameter of resource costs, we get 2 main categories: capital and current. The latter may seem less important, but any manager knows that if you do not pay attention to them, then in the near future you can get the first category.
By identifying and fixing system and hardware problems early, this can be avoided. The company Concern Ksimex LLC is always ready to provide the services of its own electrotechnical laboratory, which is certified by DP” Odessastandrtmetrologiya “for compliance with DSTU ISO 10012: 2005. It conducts its activities on the basis of official documents (license, certificate of technical competence, permits for high-risk work). At any time necessary, our specialists are ready to promptly conduct an energy audit of the facility, without affecting its performance, by providing an appropriate technical report.
Main directions:
  • Acceptance tests. Carried out after the installation of new electrical equipment;
  • Preventive measurements. They prevent the failure of expensive equipment, help control the safety of personnel;
  • Periodic measurements. Needed to control the operation of electrical equipment and electrical networks;
  • Energy audit of electrical systems. They control the quality of electrical energy, make it possible to obtain complete information about the state of the power system to promptly identify any problems associated with interruptions in the operation of electrical installations.
Key benefits: :
The measurement system complies with the requirements of DSTU ISO 10012: 2005, certificate No. 04-0001 / 2018 dated 16.01.2018.
The laboratory is equipped with modern electrical measuring instruments and testing equipment that regularly undergo metrological verification in metrological centers.
The laboratory includes personnel who have professional training and all the necessary approvals, as well as constantly improve their skills and improve their professionalism.
Based on the results of the measurements, we prepare a technical report in which we display the real state of electrical equipment and electrical installations in accordance with the requirements of the national standarts.
The data on the measurements and tests carried out are recorded in the test report, which is issued to the customer for presentation upon request.

ENERGY AUDIT AND DEVIATIONS OF POWER QUALITY INDICATORS

Power quality analysis

is a modern, most objective, fast, and convenient way to get complete information about the state of the power system and identify any problems associated with interruptions in the operation of electrical installations!

Deviations of the power quality indicators from the standardized values lead to a deterioration in the operating conditions of electrical equipment and its premature wear or failure.

Voltage deviation

For example, it affects the operation of asynchronous motors, which are widely used in many areas of the economy and the economy. With a decrease in the supply voltage, the torque on the motor shaft decreases, which under certain conditions can lead to a complete stop of the motor. In addition, undervoltage reduces the starting torque, which worsens the starting conditions of the engine. The increased voltage at the motor terminals leads to an increase in the consumed reactive power. On average, for each percentage increase in the network voltage, the reactive power consumption increases by 3%.

Voltage fluctuations

Significantly affect the operation of lighting devices and electronic equipment. Blinking of light sources (flicker effect) causes an unpleasant psychological effect, fatigue of vision and the body as a whole. This leads to a decrease in labor productivity, and in some cases to injury. With significant voltage fluctuations (more than 15%), the conditions for the normal operation of electric motors may be violated, the contacts of magnetic starters may fall off with a corresponding shutdown of the running motors. Voltage fluctuations with a swing of 10-15% can lead to failure of the capacitor banks.

Voltage harmonic distortion

They lead to additional heating in transformers, create additional losses in busbars, cause overheating and destruction of neutral working conductors, worsen working conditions and disable capacitor banks.

Electromagnetic interference

Lead to equipment failures, malfunction of automation devices, relay protection, and loss of information. Special attention is paid to this problem by various data centers, scientific laboratories, and other facilities for which data preservation is a primary task.

All of the above deviations can lead to varying degrees of severity of the damage. Therefore, knowledge of the real indicators of the quality of electricity at the enterprise is really important and will allow you to detect and localize problem areas. Using modern measuring devices, and specialists, our company will help to detect and identify problems and threats. The range of measured values depends on the purpose of the monitoring.

The Ksimmex company has modern and high-precision measuring equipment, trained personnel and offers its services for the control and analysis of power quality.
The analysis of quality indicators of electricity by specialists of our company is as follows:
  • Customer survey, analysis of technical documentation;
  • Conclusion of a contract for the performance of work on the analysis of the quality of electricity;
  • Departure to the site and carrying out the necessary measurements;
  • Processing and analysis of the received data;
  • Formation of detailed reports for the customer;
  • Providing recommendations and selection of the necessary equipment to eliminate problems in the power system of the enterprise.
In addition to measuring voltages, currents, active and reactive power of consumers at the facility, measurements of the main indicators of the quality of electricity are also carried out:
  • Steady-state voltage deviation;
  • Voltage swing;
  • Distortion factor of sinusoidal voltage curve;
  • Coefficient of the n-th harmonic component of voltage;
  • Negative sequence voltage unbalance factor;
  • Zero sequence voltage unbalance coefficient;
  • Frequency deviation;
  • Duration of voltage dip;
  • Impulse voltage;
  • Temporary overvoltage factor.
Thus, we provide an individual, complete and high-quality audit for each of our customers.
