The full-scale invasion and armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine have resulted in significant disruptions in the energy sector. After rocket attacks, there was an urgent need to restore uninterrupted power supply to enterprises, especially port infrastructure facilities participating in the grain initiative (Black Sea Grain Initiative) aimed at ensuring the safe export of grain from blocked Black Sea ports. One such enterprise is our Client – LLC “UKRELEVATORPROM” – a port operator responsible for organizing and facilitating the transshipment of grain arriving at the port. Uninterrupted power supply for technological processes related to the unloading of grain crops holds strategic importance not only for Ukraine but primarily for the United Nations’ international mission, whose goal is to provide unimpeded access to food for those in need in the country.
The KSIMEX Group, one of the leaders in Ukraine’s energy sector, has implemented a comprehensive solution for the modernization of the power supply system of the “UKRELEVATORPROM” enterprise. This included the integration of three backup power sources – diesel generator units – with the corresponding modernization of the distribution equipment of three transformer substations supplying power to the enterprise. To integrate the diesel generators into the enterprise’s power supply system, the appropriate switchgear equipment was designed, manufactured, and installed. Installation of cable and conductor products, equipment setup, and the integration of unit parameters into the existing facility’s dispatching system were carried out. The use of high-quality equipment and materials allowed us to fully meet the enterprise’s backup power needs and resolve the issue of independent backup power supply not reliant on the grid.
Thanks to years of experience and highly qualified personnel, the KSIMEX company was able to complete the project in the shortest possible time, from the development of project-cost documentation, its approval by state expert authorities, equipment and material procurement, manufacturing of switchgear equipment, electrical installation, commissioning work, and concluding with the handover of the electrical installation to the Client for operation.
