Unity is Strength! Participation in the restoration of the educational campus of the “Odessa Polytechnic University” after a terrorist rocket attack.

The Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics of the National University “Odessa Polytechnic” and the “KSIMEX” Group of Companies have had long-standing and even friendly relations. Even before the full-scale war on the territory of Ukraine, the Scientific and Educational Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics was interested in providing students with practical advanced knowledge based on a modern specialized company, and “KSIMEX” has always supported and invested in youth and intellectual development, offering employment to talented young people even during their studies.

The significance of the National University “Odessa Polytechnic” is difficult to overestimate. It was in 1918, with the foundation of the Odessa Polytechnic Institute, that electrical engineering education began in Odessa. The Institute experienced the Civil War and the Second World War, underwent several reorganizations, transformations, and was renamed, but it continues to consistently provide the country with highly qualified personnel, young scientists, and technical specialists.
June 14, 2023, became a date of another challenge for the National University “Odessa Polytechnic.” As a result of the massive rocket strike on the city of Odessa, almost all the educational buildings of the university were affected. Not only windows and building elements were damaged, but also modern educational equipment, electrical equipment, and lighting facilities that were in the educational buildings.

"For many specialists of the 'KSIMEX' company, the Scientific and Educational Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics is their Alma Mater, so the question of providing any assistance in overcoming the consequences of the night attack or material support was not even discussed - everyone did what they could!"

– shared a thought Vyacheslav Zuev, the technical director of "KSIMEX" LLC.

The company’s management decided to start the process of assisting the educational institution in restoring its infrastructure by providing specialized equipment. Currently, the following items have been delivered:

– new modern LED lamps for educational and administrative premises;

– office equipment elements (monitors) that were needed due to the destruction. The opportunity to share their resources arose through the optimization of existing workstations.

"Understanding that the restoration of the educational buildings is perhaps the most crucial step to ensure the continuation of the educational process and the provision of quality education in such difficult times, we could not stand aside and gladly participated in this project,"

commented Valentyn Lazarchuk, General Director of "KSIMEX" LLC.

The restoration process is complex and time-consuming and may continue for not just one month but a year.

According to Andrey Boyko, the director of the Scientific and Educational Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and professor:

"There is still much to do in the process of restoration. We are grateful to all partners, particularly the 'KSIMEX' Group of Companies, for the support provided today and the offer to assist with specialized equipment in the future."

“KSIMEX” understands the importance of education, believes in the Victory of Ukraine, and knows that the strength of our people lies in unity and support!
