Schneider Electric press release

Schneider Electric Ukraine, together with its partner, Concern Ksimex LLC, announces the implementation of a project for the reconstruction of substations in the pellet production shop of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant.
Poltava Mining and Processing Plant is Ukraine’s largest producer and exporter of iron ore pellets used in ferrous metallurgy and steel production. This year, the management of the plant planned a reconstruction to improve the reliability of power supply to critical production areas. In this regard, in November 2017, a tender was held for the supply and replacement of a transformer substation, as a result of which the equipment and expertise of Schneider Electric Ukraine was selected.
Together with a partner, Schneider Electric specialists began the project in July 2017. The workshop received equipment and commissioned the TP33-1 transformer substation, for which two Minera oil transformers with a capacity of 2500 kVA and a switchgear 0.4 kV were supplied, made on the basis of the OKKEN 5000A construct.
As part of the second stage in June 2018, we also won a tender for a comprehensive solution for the supply of two more transformer substations TP 34-2 and TP 9-2. Completion of these projects is scheduled for September 2018.
During this time, the company has implemented more than 1,200 successful projects for Ukrainian enterprises, including: SE NPKG “Zorya” – “Mashproekt”, SE “Odessa Commercial Sea Port”, OJSC “Odessa Port Plant”, PJSC “ADM Ilyichevsk”, PJSC “FERREXPO POLTAVA MINING” and many others.

Being experts in the field of power distribution, we undertook this project, taking into account the production task of our Customer as much as possible.

- - said Mikhail Bubnov, CEO of Schneider Electric Ukraine

Our cooperation has been going on for more than a year. As part of the current joint project, there were some difficulties that we took into account and resolved. Schneider Electric transformer substations turned out to be the optimal solution, meeting both our requirements for reliability and safety, and expectations for cost optimization for the reconstruction of obsolete equipment

- comments the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "POLTAVSKIY GOK" Ivanov Vladimir
