Electrical distribution switchboards for the offshore floating dock

The project included manufacturing a set of power distribution switchboards in accordance with requierments of the Russian Maritime Shipping Register.

Main Low Voltage Distribution Board LVDB

The switchboard was designed in strict accordance with the customer specification, as well as taking into account limited space.

 

LVDB consists of six sections – two generator incomer sections with coupling, one shore incomer section, syncronization system of shore and generator sets, power distribution sections with motor starters.

The main LVDB provides:

  • receiving power from two main diesel generators
  • receiving power from auxilary diesel generator
  • receiving shore power 60A 380V
  • power distribution, outgoing lines protection
  • metering and control functions (in scope of requiremens of RMSR for automation class A3 vessels), indication and signalisation

The features of the switchboard are:

  • thorough and verified study of technical specification
  • high-quality assembly in accordance with Customer’s requirements;
  • live parts protection against finger contact
  • use of both flexible and solid busbars;
  • use of Selco and Deif equipment.

Emergency distribution switchboard

The switchboard was designed in strict accordance with the customer specification, which included accordance with requirements of the Russian Maritime Shipping Register, as well as taking into account limited space.

 

The emergency distribution switchboard consists of three sections – the generator section and two distribution sections with motor starters.

Emergency distribution switchboard provides:

  • receiving power supply from ~220В/=24В rectifier by 2-wire lines
  • 24V DC power distribution
  • receiving shore power 60A 380V
  • power distribution, outgoing lines protection
  • emergency power supply from battery storage
  • power supply metering, monitoring, control

The features of the switchboard are:

  • high-quality assembly in accordance with Customer’s requirements;
  • live parts protection against finger contact
  • use of Selco and Deif equipment, which allows to increase the reliability and perform monitoring, measuring and alerting

Redundant switchboard

The switchboard was designed in strict accordance with the customer specification, which included accordance with requirements of the Russian Maritime Shipping Register, as well as taking into account limited space.

 

The switchboard consists of three sections – the power supply section and two distribution sections with motor starters.

Redundant switchboard performs

  • distribution of electricity along outgoing lines and protection of outgoing lines;
  • performance of measurement, control functions (in the scope of the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping Rules for vessels of automation class A3), indication, and signaling.
  • Factory acceptance tests of the switchgear are carried out in accordance with clause 8.3 of GOST 22789 94 (IEC 60439 1).

The features of the switchboard are:

  • high-quality assembly in accordance with Customer’s requirements;
  • live parts protection against finger contact
  • use of Selco and Deif equipment, which allows to increase the reliability and perform monitoring, measuring, and alerting
    control and measuring devices, pilot lights;
  • Automatic ventilation and heating.
