THE WAY TO ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY GENERATION AT THE Orlivska Wind Power Plant

On November 15, 2019, DTEK, together with the Danish company Vestas, commissioned the Orlivska wind power plant (WPP) in the Zaporizhzhia region with a capacity of 100 MW. Orlivska WPP is DTEK’s third wind energy project. The station is located on the Azov coast in the Zaporizhzhia region. Our company was the first in Ukraine to use gas-insulated medium voltage cells of the GHA series manufactured by Schneider Electric.
We gladly accepted the challenge and helped companies in their implementation!
It was our company that was given the complex task of supply, installation and commissioning of 35/10/0.4 kV equipment, namely:
  • Organization of ring schemes for collecting generated power on the 35kV side from the wind field by cells of the GHA series;
  • Organization of WPP auxiliary networks on 10 kV cells of the MCset series;
  • Distribution of a 0.4 kV network based on Prisma P switchboards with automation and ATS control from two power transformers 10 / 0.4 kV of the TRIHAL series;
  • Design, manufacture, supply and installation of block-modular buildings (KRPZ building, OPU building, pumping and water treatment buildings);
  • Manufacture, supply, installation and adjustment of shields for guaranteed power supply = 220V, as well as differential busbar protection panels (DZSH) for two 35kV SSs;
  • Organization of power supply of SN 0.4 kV networks from a separate diesel generator

With our help, the customer company has achieved one of its strategic goals – to create 1 GW of clean generation capacity by 2020.

Now the Orlovskaya wind farm will produce about 380 million kWh of green electricity annually. This is enough to meet the needs of almost 190,000 households. The operation of the Orlivska wind power plant will help reduce CO2 emissions by 400,000 tons per year.

We are proud of such fruitful cooperation with noble goals!
